Three other cases of samples/interpolations of MJ.

MJ’s ‘Give In To Me’ & the ‘Alone Again’ song (1984) by the American heavy metal band Dokken.

MJ’s ‘Fall Again’ & the ‘Shape Of My Heart’ song (1993) by Sting.

MJ’s ‘Leave Me Alone’ & the ‘Forever And A Day’ song (1986) by Rick James.

There is also another similarity which has to do here with the chorus.

The chorus of MJ’s ‘Shout’ is based on the chorus of the ‘Shout’ song (1959) by The Isley Brothers.

Bee Gees "You Win Again" in Ghosts for the ghouls walking up the walls section.

According to one of the engineers, the BGs song was used as a reference, but it ending up sounding like the song was accidental.
"Because we do not know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens a certain number of times, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you can't even concieve of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more. Perhaps not even that. How many times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless." - Brandon Lee

Gosh! MJ straight up sharked this song and the visual concept and the rest of GITM jacked this:

What a talentless hack MJ really was I wish he were still alive so I could kill him twice.

On the real though, very interesting. Does anyone else have any links for songs that MJ lifted "inspiration" from to make his own hits?

I always just kinda thought MJ had acquired the rights to the BG song and just straight up sampled it. It sounds that close lol
