    Smooth,
Yeah I was still wondering about the harmonized parts of actually the singing. As I know MJ was the type of artist to mostly use his own vocals as backgrounds (probably Bruces idea I could guess) I cannot think of any other song that MJ did not use his own backing tracks..Maybe the UH UH UH, on Liberian girl..That was a woman..But BJ, BAD ect is all just harmonizing with himself at different angles on the mic, including using a tube for an echo effect..Not sure about this BG..I will keep my mind open though. But yes it does seem like I can hear MJ in the backing vocals.

The songs on which he worked with Doctor Freeze are the ones in which doctor freeze does the backgrounds, such as APWNN and Break of Dawn. This is why it would be safe to assume it is Dr Freeze here as well. Although I do think I can hear MJ in the backgrounds on Blue Gangsta.

Yep, there is NO MJ in the BG. Only lead and ad-libs.

I have a question, was this song completed before Invincible was released? Or did it never go past the demo stage during the album's production?

I heard it was completed in '98.

They purposely put the earliest versions possible on Xscape so it wouldn't surprise me if there are later mixes.

The original version I heard was '98 as Jam said... think it was considered for Invincible but was eventually replaced with something else. Which I think was a mistake.
