The barrage of label hate continues to confuse me. Sony doesn't put the products together; the Estate does. Blaming them for the crappy products we've gotten makes no sense. They certainly control the substandard marketing, but even then they still have Michael Jackson on a semi-high pedestal unlike any other posthumous artist.

Wasn't it at one point said that Sony didn't want any remixes on Bad25, but the Estate pushed for them?

People need to chill out with the anti-Sony propaganda. As of late, I haven't seen any wrongdoing on their part.

As far as Thriller25 goes, how did they screw it up? I'm genuinely asking; I haven't heard of anything that paints them as having indirectly sabotaged it.

MJ was sometimes his own worst enemy. He was obviously thinking of sales at that late stage.

Yeah, it's been said Sony wanted to include more unreleased material and the extended mixes but the estate was focused on those new remixes.

BTW, I wasn't hating on Sony, just that they and Michael signed off on the decision to include the remixes on Thriller 25, which a lot of people and critics derided. When I saw how Sony has handled reissues and box sets of other artists, I got the hint by the time Bad 25 came out that the estate were the ones making the decisions.

Not much the estate could do that would interest me. I strongly believe we've already heard the best songs MJ had to offer, so I'm not really interested in new albums of unreleased music. The general public isn't that interested, either. Maybe we'll get another album in a couple of years, but expect even less promotion that what Xscape got.

Blu-rays of concert performances from the Triumph, Victory or Dangerous tours sound cool, but I couldn't care less if they don't put them out. Honestly, I still listen to his music and watch videos of him performing onstage on YouTube from time to time, but I'm basically done with MJ.

    Universe,

Do you mean you are done with MJs new stuff or just point blank done with MJ period? If you are just done with MJ could I ask why? Not trying to pry just curious.

For myself I could care less about anything new album wise either...What I would like is more Bad era and prior tours to come out...Rehearsal footage from early 80s to late 80s...Candid footage of MJ just being MJ while he is on tour...Backstage footage during Bad tour AND I would LOVE to see in studio footage of the making of Thriller and Bad.. Of the team working together and messing around with concepts and ideas etc...I think that would be epic.

More MJ releases would be awesome but I think we've had too many in a space of little time. A nice long break is needed.
