    Favorite THRILLER-Era Outtake?

What's your favorite Thriller album outtake?

(For the record, this poll includes any song that was recorded between 1981-1984, which I consider to be the THriller era. Some of these songs, such as Behind the Mask and Got the Hots, were eventually released on a future studio album.)

Tough. The first five or six in that list (at least) have a good claim to it.

I'll go for Nite Line, that's a personal favourite.

There Must Be More To Life. That track is awesome.

I can't possibly choose on any of these polls. There's several or more favourite outtakes from each era. I'll have to think about it. How come you've included PYT demo as a choice? What about the other demo's?

Presumably, that's because the P.Y.T. demo was a completely different song from the album version, whereas the others for Beat It, Billie Jean etc. were simply early versions of what did make the album.

BTW, just speaking as a Thriller era connoisseur, it's such a waste that at least some of these outtakes weren't B-sides.

I personally don't count the Freddie tracks as Thriller outtakes. State Of Shock was eventually re-recorded with Mick Jagger for the Jackson's Victory album, and Freddie released his own version of They Must Be More To Life Than This post Thriller. I think of those as Victory era songs.

That said, my fav. has to be Hotstreet.

There's something about Carousel I live despite it have the blehish polished Thriller album production I'm not particularly fond of, I think it's the melody, but the P.Y.T. demo with MJ's beautiful vocals and that cowbell totally win me over.
There's only one Thriller and I ain't talkin' 'bout thee album...
