It's got a nice late night feel to it and I can hear influences such as MJ's Off The Wall, Andre 3000's The Love Below, Janelle Moane's The ArchAndriod and also Prince. Mirrors is a great track and sounds a bit like Cry Me A River.

Listen to this album on a good sound system also or good headphones to get the most out of its lush sound. The sound is great.
    I just can't agree more....

My facebook status about the album..

If Frank Sinatra could sing like Marvin Gaye and recorded an album in 2013, Justin Timberlake's new album, "20/20 Experience" would be the result. It's a "classy" album if I've ever heard one.
It's a real "chill" album. With the exception of the layered background vocals, JT has left the MJ influences behind. Vocally and musically, it sounds like he's finding himself as an artist. He doesn't sound like an imitator of other soul artists anymore. (Though there are some Prince and Stevie vibes on a few songs. Nothing wrong with that, though).

I still say that Future Love/Sex Sounds is better, but that doesn't mean that this album is bad by any means. Nice to hear some great Neo-Soul from Justin, and he gets respect from me for trying different things here. Off the top of my head, my favorite tracks are Don't Hold The Wall and Strawberry Bubblegum.

Nice status Jam. I didn't think much of Strawberry Bubblegum yesterday but today after about my seventh listen to the album, it's now one of my favourites on there. I was just over on another site and most of them are hating on it, which I expected. Honestly I'm just glad I went away and bought it and made my own mind up. Havent read any reviews and dont know what the general reaction is but as i said, i think its awesome. Might change it up now and listen to Futuresex/Lovesounds.

You say it's a "classy" album, AJ, and yet I read one review lately complaining about "porno lyrics". I think "Strawberry Bubblegum" was mentioned.

I know what you mean, though... I gave it a spin, and I liked. Maybe my personal favourite tracks on the first listen were "Spaceship Coupe" and "Let The Groove Get In".

Part 2 People......Let the discussion begins

Part 2 isn't as good as part one. Murda, and TKO are the notables here.

Well, Yeah Part 1 is better for most people, but i really like Part 2 sooo much, may be the only song that i always skip is "You got it on".............and "Amnesia" This is song is heavenly made, wish the break down at the end would last forever.........

I still need to get Part 2. For realz. But I'm really loving Part 1. I mean "Let The Groove Get In", I think I play that every day. Lol. And 'Spaceship Coupe'.....OHHH 'Spaceship Coupe'! Come on, man! The whole album is fire and I'm very happy I bought it this year. JT did not disappoint me, he never usually does with his albums. This is off topic, but speaking of JT going in a new direction, it reminds me of the new Paramore album....'Paramore'. It's awesome. I love the feel they went with and the change. The best thing for some artists like JT and Paramore is to switch the style up a bit but keep your flavor and they did that.

    Cool

Probably my favorite singer. *NSYNC was mostly just a typical boy group, but they did have a few songs that made them stand out from other ones (like "Just Got Paid" from their No Strings Attached album and "Girlfriend" from Celebrity. Most boy groups focus on pop, but those songs were strongly R&B). And you can't deny their talent as a group; they had incredible harmonies. Justin matured from his boy group roots with his debut album Justified, but that album was pretty average overall. FutureSex/LoveSounds was an improvement and the first sequence of The 20/20 Experience is definitely his best album to date.

While the second sequence to The 20/20 Experience is at the very least decent on its own, as a followup to the first sequence, it falls short. It sounds both less consistent and less polished than the first sequence to the point where it feels you're just listening to its leftovers. And the choice of singles from it was horrible: "Take Back the Night" and "TKO" were nothing special and they are Justin's least successful singles. It's a shame, because there were songs on the second sequence of The 20/20 Experience that definitely should have been singles ("Cabaret" and "Drink You Away" definitely should have been the singles from that album).
