first, i have to tell you that i didn't take drawing lessons. I learned to draw by myself in 2007 :) i started with some cartoon characters, then i continued with my toys.. i even tried to make some portraits of myself and my grandmother. in 2010 i started to draw MJ :)
here's the first drawing:

then i continued drawing...
http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/th_A472E2EE.jpg (http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/?action=view&current=A472E2EE.jpg)http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/th_EC34C040.jpg (http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/?action=view&current=EC34C040.jpg)http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/th_A0C99AE0.jpg (http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/?action=view&current=A0C99AE0.jpg)http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/th_4968426B.jpg (http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/?action=view&current=4968426B.jpg)

and now my drawings look like this:
http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/th_60E464B6.jpg (http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/?action=view&current=60E464B6.jpg)http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/th_7876EAFF.jpg (http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/?action=view&current=7876EAFF.jpg)http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/th_DSCF3062.jpg (http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/?action=view&current=DSCF3062.jpg)http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/th_desen1.jpg (http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd520/mikejacksonlover/?action=view&current=desen1.jpg)

what do you think? :)

They look great, your drawings certainly seem to have improved over time. :) I always avoid drawing celebrities as I hate that inevitable moment of stepping back and looking at a drawing where the likeness is badly 'off', lol... as seems to be the case so often when you're drawing any widely known figure.

Plus, you only need to look at the many wax figures of MJ around the world to see how hard it is to capture MJ's likeness at each period of his life. Do you read books about drawing, or has it just been entirely self-learnt?
